Wolverine Racing is sad that our career at Cajon Speedway was cut short by its closing for the new airport expansion. What a shame a local legacy had to die like its promoter!

UPDATE:  We are taking petitions against the proposed expansion of Gillespie Field.  If you are interested in saving the Cajon Speedway, download the petition and get them signed by neighbors, friends, businesses, your race team, your sponsors, etc. Everyone in San Diego County is affected, but mostly the east county folks. Petitions can be returned in person or via mail to Charlie's Hubcaps, 1456 North Magnolia #A, El Cajon, CA 92020.

The following email was sent to Wolverine Racing on April 9th, 2005 and we are enlisting all who may be concerned to answer this mans call to action.  Please respond via email

"Dear sir, I am a member of a group of residents opposed to the
gillespie field expansion due to the increased  helicopter training and
jet operations, which I fear may eventualy displace the small planes
here. If you know of a move to try to keep the speedway open and
restrict the expansion of the airport,  our group would be interested
in joining forces. Tks for any info you can send me. tom  from
